Close all Excel files that are currently open. 

Go to Excel---> File ---> Options ---> Trust Center Settings---->  File Block Settings ---->  

Go to bottom of dialog box where it reads: "Open behavior for selected file types:"

Select: "Open selected file types in Protected View and allow editing



click "OK" to accept the changes and close the dialog boxes and re-open the excel file in question.
